All-at-Once document proofing (Shortcut key: F7)
To perform all-at-once document proofing, top to bottom, you need to follow some steps:
1. Click the review tab.
2. In the proofing group, click the Spelling & Grammar button. The Editor pane appears. Errors are shown one at a time as they occur in your document. You must review them sequentially.
3. Deal with the errors. Depending on the types of errors, either the Spelling pane or the Grammar pane appears. Options presented let you deal with each errors:
Ignore All: Use this button to direct the Word to skip the error throughout the entire document.
Delete Repeated Word: Click this button to remove one of the twin words.
Don’t Check for this issue: Choose this button to inform Words grammar checker that you are fine with the specifically mentioned grammatical error word.
Add to Dictionary: Use this button to insert a misspelled word into the custom dictionary.
Change: For spelling and grammatical errors, click to select a correct option from the lists that presented.
Change All: For spelling errors only, click the correct word and then click Change All to replace all instances of your spelling mistake.

block:
- To move a block of text, you select the text, then cut (Ctrl+X) and paste (Ctrl+V).

- You can use the mouse to drag-move or drag-copy the block, when you need to move a block to a short distance.

Using the (F8) key to select a block of text:
- The F8 key activates
Word’s Extend Selection command. Press this key to “drop anchor” at the
insertion pointer's location. Then use either the mouse or the cursor keys to
select text. In fact, you cannot do anything but select text when Extend
Selection mode is active.
- To exit Extend
Selection mode, you can either do something with the block of text or press the
Esc key to cancel
ü To help you with the F8 key and Extend Selection mode, right click the status bar and choose the Selection Mode item. The text Extend Selection appears on the status bar when this mode is active
- Not only can you use the cursor keys while in Extend Selection mode, any of the character keys works as well; text is selected from the anchor point to the character you type. Type an A, for example, and all text between the insertion pointer and the next letter A is selected
- Press the F8 key twice to
select the current word.
- Press the F8 key thrice
(three times) to select the current sentence.
- Press the F8 key four times
to select the current paragraph as a block of text.
- Press the F8 key five times
to select the entire document, from top to bottom.
- No matter how
many times you press F8, be aware that it always drops anchor. Whether you
press F8 once or five times, Word is still in Extend Selection mode. Do something with the block or press Esc to cancel this mode.
